Streets Ahead can "Be Proud"!
The South Liverpool Streets Ahead team have been shortlisted by Liverpool City Council in the 2005 'Be Proud Awards'!

The awards a designed to recognise outstanding service delivery of Council services and cover categories from Rising Star for the team that has made exceptional progress in improving their service through to World Class for the team that has made an important contribution to the Council's vision of becoming truly world class.

The South Liverpool Streets Ahead team has been shortlisted in the Breakthrough Award category, for the team who has come up with an innovative solution which has not been used before in the Council. The others shortlisted are the Benefits Service, One Stop Shops and Liverpool Direct Contact Centre; the Harry Potter Event Team (Central Library, Education, Library and Sports Services) and Lifestyles in Garston.

A record-breaking 180 entries were received for this year's awards and a Council spokesperson has commented that the standard was very high, making the judging process difficult.

Colleagues at JET Eastern Link have also received recognition of their excellent performance, with the whole team shortlisted in the Liverpool Way category and their JET Programme Manager, Paul Morrison, shortlisted in the Top Boss Award category.

The winners will be announced at a sparkling ceremony that will take place on 29 April.
