Skills Passport to Work
Seven Liverpool residents recently met with employers from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to celebrate their completion the new Leisure and Tourism Skills Passport.

The Skills Passport approach to employer led training was developed by JET South Liverpool in 2003 and was extended across the whole of the city with support from Liverpool City Council's Neighbourhood Renewal Fund.

The Leisure and Tourism Passport was developed with employers at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, including Select Service Partner, JD Wetherspoons and the airport itself. Training included the North West Tourist Board's Welcome Host, customer care, deaf awareness and even conversational French!

Following the celebration event at the Partnership for Learning facility in Speke where the training was delivered, many of the trainees already have interviews lined up and expect to start work soon.
