Ryanair Cabin Crew Take Off! Three events organised by JET South Liverpool and Jobcentre Plus to recruit staff for the new Ryanair flights that have been announced as starting from Liverpool John Lennon Airport attracted over 300 applicants. Pan Aviation Training, Crewlink, Ryanair's employment agency, and Ryanair held three open days at the Marriott Hotel and Partnership for Learning in Speke to give more information about the cabin crew positions are to be created following the announcement that Ryanair would be investing $240 million in four new aircraft and 9 new European routes from Liverpool. The event was organised in conjunction with JET South Liverpool, part of the citywide JET Service which works with employers to target local people for local jobs, and Jobcentre Plus. Pat Egan of Pan Aviation Training said: "The response to the recruitment for the new flights has been tremendous." "Over the two days staff from Crewlink and Ryanair talked to more than 100 people and we have offered jobs to more than half of them, the majority from Liverpool and many living close to the airport itself. We have run similar events in the past for flights from other airports, but these have been the most successful in terms of the quality of the applicants." |
