JET South Liverpool Achieves 'matrix' Quality Standard

The standard has 10 elements covering delivery and management of high quality information, advice and guidance services and involves an even more 'in depth' assessment that Charter Mark, the standard that JET South Liverpool achieved in 1999 and for a second time in 2003.

The assessor's report highlight a number of strengths in the organisation:

  • The committed, supportive and enthusiastic team of staff;
  • The Streets Ahead approach that encourages equality of access to information, advice and guidance services by local residents;
  • The Skills Passport initiative, working with employers and involving them in helping clients to secure employment;
  • The proactive approach to business planning, not only to generate income that will replace grant funding, but also the approach to staff development;
  • The excellent partnership approach, particularly the work with key employers in the area.

The matrix quality standard for information advice and guidance services will now underpin continuous quality improvement within JET South Liverpool and help the organisation and its team to meet the challenges of the future.
