LIfT Now Installed in JET in Belle Vale!
Staff and volunteers from JET South Liverpool and Local Initiative for Transport (LIfT) in Netherley Valley needed no excuses for a double celebration on Friday 21 November.

LIfT is a Netherley Valley based initiative that provides a range of transport resources designed to help improve residents' access to training, education and employment opportunities.

LIfT also offers a range of volunteering opportunities that help local residents contribute to the scheme. One of the volunteers, Sid, who drives the Action Team for Jobs bus for the Streets Ahead initiative in South Liverpool, recently celebrated his 60th birthday. Sid undertakes a great deal of voluntary work in the Netherley Valley area including organising weekend fishing trips and holidays for young people.

The JET and Action Team staff, together with LIfT's Manager, John Duvall, took the opportunity to celebrate Sid's birthday, the work of the other volunteer LIfT drivers and the opening of LIfT's new transport advice facility in JET South Liverpool's shop in Belle Vale Shopping Centre with an impromptu party.
