Streets Ahead Internet Café
The Streets Ahead Internet Café started in February 2007 in Garston Urban Village Hall to encourage clients looking for work or training to use the internet as many employers now prefer applications on line.Refreshments are provided and a relaxed atmosphere is encouraged.

We hold two sessions a week with 3 clients at each for an hour with a Guidance Officer on hand to log you on and assist you through a list of suitable sites saved on each computer. We will also help you complete any online forms or print them off if you prefer.

While you are with us we will help you to fill out a CV template which will then be typed up professionally for you and sent to suitable employers. An Action Plan is also completed to keep track of your needs and progress, and training courses can be arranged if required.

Since starting, 9 clients have gained employment in various places including a local Solicitor's office, Palace Chemicals, Liverpool John Lennon Airport and a local Doctor's Surgery.

5 clients have progressed into training, 3 in Bridge Chapel, 1 on the Food Hygiene Course at JET SL and 1 to Park Road Adult Training Centre.

To make an appointment with a Streets Ahead Officer please phone 0151 293 8370/1 and we'll help you climb the ladder to success!
