Ryan Newton, Visteon

After leaving school Ryan had a variety of temporary casual jobs. Determined to improve his career prospects he visited the JET and was assigned his own Guidance Officer. The JET helped Ryan focus on a suitable career path and helped him work on his first CV.

Armed with his new found confidence, and a few helpful tips on interview techniques, Ryan attended a number of successful interviews and finally decided to accept a position with TDSE (now known as Visteon) building the dashboard and cockpit for the Jaguar X400 series.

After eight months as a Production Operative he was promoted to Team Leader, and more recently he has been appointed the role of Quality Control Analyst.

During his time at Visteon, Ryan has completed a number of training courses leading to further qualifications in:

• Fork Lift Truck Driving
• First Aid
• Risk Assessment
• Manual Handling
• Supervisor Training
• PD Main IT Training

Ryan said: "I'll always be grateful for the help and support given to me by JET. They were great, they really seemed to care and didn't just try to fob me off with any old job".
