Laura Kenwright, Celebrity Cruises

Laura Kenwright, aged 22 from Belle Vale, visited the JET South Liverpool team in Belle Vale to see if they could help her achieve her ambition to work for a cruise ship company.

"I first came into the JET to see if they could help me get a job on the cruise ships. The staff were really friendly and arranged a guidance interview for me. They helped me write a CV and application forms and then helped me prepare for an interview as a croupier. They even arranged transport to the interview in Manchester by LIfT (Local Initiative for Transport). Luckily I got the job and gained valuable experience that would help me to work on cruise ships."

"After nine months I went back to JET to see if they could give me some information about cruise line companies. They found out that there were interviews taking place in London with a company called Celebrity Cruises, so I applied and was offered the job!"

"Now, I am enjoying my job as a croupier with Celebrity Cruises and I have been to places like Italy, New York, Miami and the Bahamas. I love the job I am doing and I wouldn't be here without the help from the JET South Liverpool."

Laura has kept in contact with the team at Belle Vale by email, making them jealous by telling them what a great time she is having and sending pictures of the wonderful places she has visited!
