Meanwhile, Shirley contacted Paula at Maatwerk who also made an appointment to meet Danielle to see if they could help her in any way. They checked to make sure she would qualify for a grant for new work clothes and a Bus Pass for her first month in work.

When Danielle was informed she had been successful in the first stage of application and invited to interview, she met up with Shirley again who helped her with interview techniques and presentation skills.

Danielle attended her interview and was informed that same day that she was successful and would be starting work at the beginning of July!

Danielle says "The JET Internet Café was brilliant! It was very casual and relaxed and Shirley listened to what I wanted before we checked the Internet together. Dawn at the Job Centre helped put my mind at rest over how my income would change and how I would afford interview clothes. Then when I got the job, Paula got me a grant for newclothes and my bus pass which will help me through until I get my first wages through!. I'm made up with all the help I got from everyone!"
