Prinovis
In May 2005 Arvato Print joined German media groups Gruner + Jahr and Axel Springer to form a new venture known as Prinovis. The name is taken from the words print, innovation and vision. The new printing facility that will open in Speke Halewood in 2006 will now be known as Prinovis Liverpool.
arvato print is part of the international Bertelsmann Group. Bertelsmann's history can be traced back to the first half of the 19th century when, in 1835, the printer Carl Bertelsmann (1791-1850) founded C. Bertelsmann Verlag with its own book-printing plant in Gütersloh, Germany. The first Bertelsmann Best Seller was called Theomele; a book of Christian songs and hymns.
Amongst the brands that form part of Bertelsmann are the RCA label, which celebrated many triumphs with Elvis Presley, Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG), Doubleday publishers and Random House, which with authors such as John Updike, Toni Morrison, John Le Carré, and Michael Crichton is synonymous with world literature.
arvato AG is the media services arm of Bertelsmann. It comprises the following divisions:
- arvato print, which includes MOHN Media, the maulbelser media group, and a number of printing plants in Europe and the US;
- arvato direct services, which provides customer loyalty systems and call centre services and already has a call centre in Liverpool;
